We are currently seeking a Business Line Manager – Load & Haul and UG Drills. The Business Line Manager is responsible for the business results of the LOHA & UG Drills for the Sales Area and is accountable for the success and the long-term business development. The ideal candidate must have a proven ability to lead and drive Capital Equipment Sales and ensure a seamless interaction between the Sales Area and Divisions. The role will report to the Sales Area Vice President, West Africa and may be based in Accra or Kumasi.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to health and safety by consistently following best practices and actively participating in safety-related initiatives.
  • Communicate Sandvik’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, philosophy, performance, and standards accurately and effectively to customers and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a role model for Sandvik’s core values, fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Define and ensure effective execution and adherence to the Business Model across all operations.
  • Provide the Management Team with timely and relevant insights into financial and operational performance, as well as developments in the operating environment.
  • Lead the development and execution of business line strategies, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for business expansion within the Sales Area.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Managers to develop customer strategies that drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Conduct market research to maintain competitiveness and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Cultivate a positive business environment and strong relationships with the aftermarket team and other management members to enhance customer service delivery.
  • Hire, mentor, motivate, train, evaluate, and guide team members to achieve business objectives and foster professional growth.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of internal and customer projects.
  • Monitor and control expenses within budget, providing financial analysis to support decision-making.

Experience and qualification

We are looking for a seasoned Sales Professional with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management or related field, with over 10 years of experience in heavy industry equipment sales, particularly in value-based selling. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sales planning, budgeting, forecasting, and driving customer satisfaction. Experience working with mining companies, mining contractors, construction, and infrastructure clients is highly desirable, and familiarity with Sandvik products will be a significant advantage. A proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, supported by concrete examples of success, is essential. As this role is based in West Africa, candidates must be fluent in English—both spoken and written—and comfortable working in a multicultural, international environment
